About this practice
Cities and communities are how society is organised. Their energy security, economic independence and local energy resources are the basis of national resilience. We believe a decentralised power system must be built at exactly this level.
A city consumes energy through dozens of facilities at once: schools, hospitals, the water utility, district heating, street lighting. Each has its own profile, its own contract and its own delivery tariff — and the real savings sit in that whole, invisible from any single bill.
For cities, energy independence matters most in winter — precisely when wind generation performs, and precisely when local solar and batteries do not solve the problem. This practice connects a city’s purchasing power, investor financing and modern wind solutions through public-private partnership. Cities become more independent, jobs are created locally, and investment and taxes stay in the community.

Our operating principles
- Energy should be generated where it is consumed: that is security and delivery savings at once.
- Baseline first, measures second. Without a correct base, any saving is a promise, not a result.
- Critical infrastructure must keep running through outages — backup is calculated as part of the project, not as a separate purchase.
- The calculation must withstand review by a donor, a development bank and an auditor — proper preparation is what gets a project built rather than filed.
